Pre-historic Yosemite

My wife picked up this thrift store painting and I painted in the dinosaurs to satiate her Dinosaur interest. We were going for a more subtle version of the thrift store monster art by Chris McMahon, Weezer and others even though its a few years after the trend. I also realized this is one of the more common thrift store paintings to modify after the fact, still it was fun painting the dinos and turned out to be still be enjoyable to look up so we put it up in the kitchen.

Another guache about for the Neal, ahem  I mean the Leading Edge ( http://www.leadingedgemagazine.com/ )this one is for "Of Songs and Solitude." The landscape and foreground is supposed to be the Andes and the background is the lonely solitude of space. This was the first time I had tried painting space and it turned out surprisingly well, I'll probably do something else with stars etc. later on.
