Paintings for Leading Edge
Some gouache paintings that I did for Neal and the Leading Edge's short story, "Limitations." It will be published this Spring at BYU. They changed the printing format of the publication just so that the color from my Easter Island picture (third one down) would show up. http://www.leadingedgemagazine.com/

"...there shall be great pollutions upon the face of the earth.."
Mt. Diablo pearl. Another more simple version of Mt. Diablo. This time as seen driving up 680 North just across the Benecia Martinez bridge. I still want to put a pearl finish on this one but since its guache and therefore water-based I'm not sure that would work.

Valley of the Di
Painting of Mt. Diablo my first time attempting to paint with oil. Hopefully not my last. I've seen so many different perspectives of Mt. Diablo, it was cool to actually try and paint it. There're definitely some areas that I could improve on with this one but its good practice and a fun process.

Revolutionary War painting in Guache. I think I'd call it Rising Sun, or Whites of Their Eyes or something like that. Its not totally original, the guys are copied from a picture and the sunset is similar to a picture I have. But I thought the sunset turned out nicely. I just read 1776 and was thinking about the sacrifices of the early Americans so I wanted to do something related. It would probably be a good teaching aide.
